Description:

Description typed on index card in album: "Tongres, northwest of Liege. Feb. 20 to Aug. 6th. These five brick buildings (plus our Red Cross Barn not in picture here) were built in 1939, taken over by Germans and partially almost destroyed as they left. Seen today, the buildings look much the same but trees and bushes have softened the lines. Now the Barn is replaced by a parking lot, but 20 years ago, part of it was there! Letters on buildings, made by us years ago, are still there; were then used to designate the beds to be used by different medical needs."
