Description:
|
The Baker-Hunt Art and Cultural Center was established by Margaretta Baker-Hunt, wife of lighting emporium owner John Baker. She established the Foundation in 1922 as a cultural institute and a facility for psychic research. Upon her death in 1930 she created a perpetual trust for the running of the schools, which remained free until 1995. It remains an important center of education for children and seniors.
