Description:
|
"The museum building includes a library, office, and storage and support spaces in addition to exhibition space. The galleries are treated as connected volumes that interpenetrate one another spatially; each has a different character according to its natural light, volume, surface, and scale. Although visually linked, the galleries may all be secured separately. Skylights are shaped to soften, bounce, and diffuse the ample natural light. The construction is smooth white plaster over masonry on vertical and inverted surfaces and titanium-zinc roofing panels on sloped water-shedding surfaces."
