Description:
|
The 4-story red brick building is one of the oldest breweries in Cincinnati. It was incorporated in 1889 as the Jackson Brewery Company, but over the years it has been a bottling company, a plant for aging wine, and in 1961 it became the location for the Cincinnati Metal Blast. In the 1960s the city used the building extensive tunnels for storage for fallout shelters. The tunnels are 20 to 30 feet underground and are 200 feet long, 35 feet wide.
