Description:
|
"It was a popular academic building between 1890 and 1930, because it recalled the medieval universities and the revival of learning. The entrance facing north has elaborate terra cotta decoration. At the top of the right pinnacle sits a boy, cross-legged, reading a book. Opposite, a little girl paints a ball.--perhaps an allusion to Rookwood? Atop the building's western tower sit two lackadaisical elves."
