ART WORKS Charles Bird King (1785-1862) painted White Cloud, The Younger, in Washington (D.C.) (Cosentino: 363). Cosentino gives no date, but Horan (Horan, 1986, p. 306) gives the date 1837. This painting is unlocated. An inidentified "Ioway" is listed as No 134 in the Catalogue of Indian Paintings Belonging to the Government Collection which appeared in William J. Rhees' 1859 Guide to the Smithsonian Institution (Viola, 1976, p. 145). George Catlin (1796-1872) painted White Cloud, The Younger, in London (England) in 1844 (Truettner Gallery No. 517) (Truettner, 1979, p. 294)
