A gift from the University of Cincinnati Alumni Association [www.alumni.uc.edu] funded the digitization of News Record issues from 1960 to 1970. A gift from Jordan Bleznick (A&S '76) in honor of his father Dr. Donald W. Bleznick funded the digitization of News Record issues from 1973 to 1976.

The News Record — The University of Cincinnati's Independent Student Newspaper
For researchers interested in the University of Cincinnati and student life, digitized copies of the student newspaper, the News Record provides significant insight to campus life. While the issues are not transcribed, the PDFs are text-searchable. In addition, each issue has numerous photographs and advertisements from local businesses.The News Record frequently carried stories on the following topics:

- Student clubs and groups
- Sororities and fraternities
- Opinions and editorials
Each issue of The News Record has been scanned using optical character recognition (OCR) software. Keyword searches are available within each issue.
