Description:
Cashin's past growing up in a variety of cities throughout California shaped her into a very cultured and independent woman. She lived her dreams of traveling the world, and these rich experiences contributed to her incredible designs. This oversized cream-colored faux fur coatdress is especially inspired by her travels; this is evident through the Asian influence of kimono sleeves on the design of this garment. The coatdress has a very unique raglan-kimono sleeve with dropped shoulders. The leather binding and front tie gives the wearer another taste of her common style of mixing materials. In addition to the rare sleeves, Cashin included vertical welt pockets with elliptical-shaped topstitching. Lined with a matching cream-colored knit, it is easy to see another one of her innovative techniques. The knit lining keeps the wearer warm and comfortable.(CAM#194)
