Description typed on index card in album: "'Major Pennington's Folly'. He had decided that we needed a recreation tent for the hospital staff. Enlisted men labored to erect the huge American Red Cross material intended to mark hospital sites to discourage bombing us. A strong wind, as you can see from the second picture, blew it all down in minutes!"
