Description:
|
"Externally, the Fisher House is a quintessential Swiss Chalet, perched on the brink of a steep slope; this also allows perfect drainage according to an early description. Extremely wide eaves, spreading into a giant gable at front and rear, are supported on elaborately curved brackets that extend from the structural beams of the roof. The upper stories are constructed of thick horizontal timbers, joined by 3,000 handmade pegs, rather than nails."
