Description:
The Portage County courthouse was completed in 1960 by architect C.G. Kistler, and the building "is an example of government buildings that look more like business buildings in today's consumer-and-business-oriented society." Its location in the public square and engraved title are the only things that set it apart as the county courthouse rather than a large office building.
