Description:
|
Constructed on the same site that saw two previous courthouses, the Hamilton County Courthouse has seven entrances into this "Neoclassical colossus." The courthouse was built using inflammable materials after the earlier building was burned down in the riot of 1884. Designed by James McLaughlin, who also designed the Cincinnati Art Museum, the cornerstone was laid by President William Howard Taft in 1915.
