Description:
|
From Pueblo Indian Painting. p. 16: The great Corn Dance, showing choir and male and female dancers (cf. Plate 5). This dance is the mosty important festival of the year. Normally it occurs during the latter months of the summer season, each village having its own date and celebration. The costume varies from pueblo to pueblo, but the main features are everywhere the same. Map references: San Ildefonso Pueblo (N.M.)
