Description: 
Like the second and third courthouses before it, the fourth Gallia County courthouse was destroyed by a fire in 1981, believed to be the cause of a faulty heater. Subsequently, the present courthouse, completed in 1985, was built fireproof with a steel frame, concrete floors, and extensive sprinkler system.
