Description:
|
"City Hall occupies a pivotal site in the More London development, at the termination of the pedestrian avenue leading from Tooley Street, looking across the river to the City. The project overlapped with Norman Foster's work on the Reichstag in Berlin, and there are parallels between the two projects. 75% of the exterior is clad in solid insulated panels, with triple glazing and other solar controls reinforcing its opaque character. The large reception space at the top of the building (called "London's living room") has fine views over South London and Docklands."
