Described in Vol. II, p. 22. Caption from Truettner catalog of Catlin's Indian Gallery. Entry from Catlin's 1848 catalog reads, "W'y-ee-yogh, the Man of Sense; a brave, with a handsome pipe in his hand, and bears' claw necklace on his neck." Probably painted at Fort Leavenworth in 1832 (Truettner, 1979, p. 215).
